The OSHA standard for safety helmets is outlined in 29 CFR 1910.135 for general industry and 29 CFR 1926.100 for construction. These regulations require that employers provide head protection for employees working in areas where there is a risk of head injury from impact, falling or flying objects, or electrical shock and burns.
