American Apparel was originally known for producing its T-shirts and other apparel in the USA, specifically in Los Angeles, California. However, after the company's bankruptcy and subsequent acquisition by Gildan Activewear in 2017, much of the production was moved overseas. While some items might still be made in the USA, many are now manufactured internationally.
