For optimal comfort and movement, there should be at least 48 inches (4 feet) of space between rectangular banquet tables. This allows ample room for chairs and for guests to move around easily. If space is limited, a minimum of 36 inches (3 feet) can be used, but this is less ideal for high-traffic areas.
