Certainly! The three types of ribs are true ribs, false ribs, and floating ribs. True ribs (ribs 1-7) are directly attached to the sternum via costal cartilage, false ribs (ribs 8-10) are connected to the sternum indirectly through the cartilage of the rib above, and floating ribs (ribs 11-12) do not attach to the sternum at all.
